Tested Configurations

This page describes configurations of OS/ROS/Rosjava_core tested by authors.

Basically: current version of rosjava_core requires some ROS components in the ROS_PACKAGE_PATH. If you managed to install Desktop or higher (Desktop-full) version of ROS, these components are included in the installation and you do not need to set the path. This seems to be true except some cases (Ubuntu and ROS hydro). In other cases, you should set the path pointing to the nengoros directory.

OS X 10.8.2 64-bit

Standalone (without ROS)

Works fine, with ROS_PACKAGE_PATH pointing just to the Nengoros directory.

Just one test fails during rosjava_core compilation.

ROS Hydro Base

Works, with ROS_PACKAGE_PATH pointing also into the Nengoros directory.

OS X 10.6.8 32-bit

Ubuntu 12.04 LTS 64-bit
